What's going on?

It's been a while since I posted here. I figured I'd do a quick progress report about what's going on in the world of Altoholic.

As you know, I've been trying to start up a guild. This has required a lot of paying a lot of people attention, which has been sucking up a lot of my free/alting time, but it's starting to pay off.

We've developed a core of about 8 people with 4-5 less regular people and a nice group of raid and group loving old friends who are happy to go along ot help us get off the ground.

With much hesitation, I took the raid team, some of whom are wearing blues still, into Ulduar10 for the first time last week.

The first week we killed Flame Leviathan, Deconstructor, and attempted and failed several times on Ignis. On the second day we did Razorscale and worked on Kologarn. We did have wipes while learning. The team handled wiping and learning very well. There was no dramangsting, no whining or yelling on vent, it was good times and I was pleasantly suprised.

This past week we went in and one-shot or two-shot the first three bosses on our first day and wiped more on Ignis, using a new strategy. These were 1% wipes over and over again. We're a late night raiding group and I think people were falling asleep at the keyboard, they weren't quite sharp and focused.

Day two, Ulduar 10, we went in and wiped two more times on Ignis before getting a flawless victory, we then went and handed Kologarn his ass on the first try, and then went and started learning Auriaya. By our third attempt, we'd come up with our own strategy that was different from what we'd seen on the tankspot video and downed her like she was some kind of joke.

We had a guest hunter who was unguilded on our second run because we were short someone and he nicely asked if he could go. He was pretty pleased by the end, I had warned him we'd probably wipe, but he wasn't expecting us to take it in stride without emo drama or yelling on vent. To have discovered a late night group, something thought to be a myth on the server, was a pretty nice find on his part.

I threw him a guild invite which he happily accepted, after hanging out with us more he's declared he wants to stick with us rather than go join another group that had been trying to get him, because we just run things in a way that wasn't stressful or negative, that we were actually running a raiding group the way it should be run: With fun in mind.

The Greedy Goblin had written about buying his way into a top guild for 5000g a week. What he described, to some part, was something I want to strive to create, while keeping a friendly atmosphere.

The altoholic has been indulging in lowbies again. This is partially so I can push my guildmates to leevl alts for fun and profit.
Priest 1: 29
Priest 2: 32
Warlock 1: 27
Warlock 2: 33
Paladin: 36

The problem, of course, is that the priests and warlocks are supposed to be teams but the warlocks seem to get ahead via class quests by a whole level.

Fve Boxing Setup:
I have 98 Emblems of Heroism.
24 Emblems of Valor which can be converted if I feel so inclined.
That totals up to 122 Emblems.

I also have 191 Stone Keeper's Shards.

This means I'm about at 1/10 of where I need to be to start. I've been playing very casual like and not running heroics every day like I should be. I'll have to kick it up a notch here real soon.
